Welcome to Our Journey of Faith"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." - Proverbs 3:5 Living with a Purpose Welcome to "Living with Purpose," where we explore the journey of aligning our lives with God’s calling. Today, we’ll dive into how we can live with intention and purpose, looking to Scripture and the wisdom of Christian writers to guide us. The Bible tells us that we are not aimless beings wandering through life. Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) says, *“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”* This reminds us that each of us is uniquely designed by God, created for a purpose that He laid out before time began. Living with purpose isn’t about chasing after our own desires but discovering the good works that God has already prepared for us. C.S. Lewis once said, “The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become—because He made us. He invented us. He invented all the different people that you and I were intended to be.” This idea resonates deeply when we consider what it means to live with purpose. We become more fully ourselves not by pursuing our own plans, but by surrendering to God’s design for us. When we do this, we find a deeper sense of peace, identity, and fulfillment. It’s easy to think that purpose is found in grand gestures or life-altering decisions, but often, God calls us to serve Him in the ordinary moments. In Romans 12:2 (ESV), we are encouraged to *“not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”* Purpose is discovered when we seek His will daily, transforming our minds to see things through His perspective. In times of adversity, it can be hard to understand how our struggles fit into God’s purpose for us. Yet, we are reminded in Romans 8:28 (ESV), *“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”* No experience is wasted. God uses everything, even the hard times, to shape us and draw us closer to the purpose He’s prepared. As we reflect on what it means to live with purpose, let’s remember that true purpose isn’t found in what we accomplish, but in who we become as we follow God. Letting go of the need to control everything and trusting in His plan allows us to live with intention, knowing that each step is guided by His loving hand. May this be a week where you lean into God's purpose, knowing that He has already prepared a path for you. Live with intention, seek His will, and find peace in knowing that you are walking in the works He has set before you. Join Us in Our Mission
